No more "root" platforms?
Recently I had some tester feedback, in which they stated that it was unclear why some platforms fell to the water when they were still adjacent to the island; this suggests that the required connection to the "root" platform is difficult to visualize at some points.
So, I decided to try and remove the root platforms and use the islands themselves as the connectivity "hubs". This allows for solutions like the one above, where pieces can migrate from one island to the other before connecting the two.
The required changes in the generator code were not trivial to implement, and unveiled some hidden bugs that I had not seen before because of the different connectivity conditions; but it was worth doing.
I believe this change makes the game far more intuitive and the mechanics more elegant. ¿What do you think?

The move where you jump a platform to the other island tickles my brain in a gooooood way 😏💦
Thanks! :)
Seems like an elegant simplification.
