I'm exploring more visual alternatives to indicate the capabilities the player will have to rotate or slide platforms, which are similar to the approach I used in the original game: specialized platforms. There will be platforms which the player can only slide, others which the player can only rotate (as shown in the video), and others that can be slid or rotated at will (I'm still thinking about the appearance this third kind will have).
This will allow me to make the specialized zones I talked about in previous posts, but also perhaps mix platforms of different kinds like in the original game.
