"We'll burn that bridge when we get to it"

Made by Martin and Marcos for the Astra game Jam, with the theme "Idioms"

Your task is to burn all bridges, and get to the exit (the green tile).

Crates burn things, barrels leak flammable oil that can be lit by crates.

Controls:

Move with arrows and WASD
undo with Z
reset with R

The mechanics in the game (and the name pun) are inspired by the two idioms "cross that bridge when one comes to it" and "burn your bridges" mixed together, and the classic Seven Bridges of Königsberg mathematical problem.

I had a really, REALLY good time with this one.

Something about controlling the little mole in their quest for arson with simple but charming graphics just makes me happy.

Also, the puzzles are really nice too.

I agree with everyone else when I say this idea has a LOT of potential.

Thanks so much!

Having a ton of performance issues on my macbook. its pretty unplayable :(

Sorry to read that! We'll take a look later today at the performance aspect of the game and make a new build if possible. Thanks for reporting!

I just uploaded a new build, I hope it solves the performance issue.

I'll give it a try, thank you so much!

Much, much better!

Glad to know! Enjoy!

I couldn't get the first puzzle, but it's a solid core concept =)

Thanks!

Great idea! Very much agree in thinking this idea has potential. square_land and mega were my favorite levels, they really made me think about the underlying topology of the levels which was a treat.

Thank you!
